In Freeport, ships arrive from and depart to ports in the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, South America, Europe, the Far East, Africa and Australia via Atlantic trade routes; and to the Pacific via the Panama Canal. Its ideal location, fast turnaround times and advantageous tariffs, have established Freeport’s reputation as a major trans-shipment centre.

Freeport Container Port (FCP) is privately owned and operated by Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH), the world’s leading port investor, developer, and operator with interests in 26 countries. Situated at Freeport’s deep-water harbour, the port offers container vessels quick access to 3,400 feet of berthing space with a minimum alongside depth of 15.5 meters.

Grand Bahama International Airport is a privately owned joint venture between Port Group Limited (PGL) and Hutchison Ports GBAC. The 11,000-foot runway handles the largest aircraft in service and is within easy reach of all major North America destinations. The airport is a key element in GBPA’s long-term strategy to develop an integrated distribution hub and trans-shipment centre which helps in improving the Grand Bahama logistics industry. Additionally, the airport has direct flight connections to domestic and international airports in the U.S.

The Sea Air Business Centre (SABC) is a 741 acre industrial and distribution park, located with-in a tax-free zone between the deep sea container port and the International airport.

(SABC) Highlights: The SABC is the perfect location for large warehousing, distribution, trans-shipping and light industry companies.
